Krave Pork Jerky Sweet Grilled Teriyaki Review

Krave Pork Jerky Grilled Sweet Teriyaki

Today I am reviewing Krave Pork Jerky Sweet Grilled Teriyaki. Krave Jerky is out of Sonoma, CA and owned/managed by Jonathan Sebastiani (4th generation wine family)

Krave Pork Jerky comes in a resealable 3.25 oz. package. This is a great feature which allows you to reseal the jerky and keep it fresh if you are able to save some of the jerky for later.

From the package the ingredients are pork, evaporated cane syrup, water, low sodium gluten free soy sauce (water, soybeans, salt, alcohol), soybean oil, rice wine, spices, celery juice powder. A serving size is 1 ounce and includes 2g of fat along with 7g of fat and 250 mg of sodium. All natural. No artificial ingredients and a product of the U.S.A.

Krave Pork Jerky

Upon opening the package you will notice the jerky is moist to the touch and has an auburn and gold color. The cut is medium and the tear is quite easy. On first taste, you will notice the jerky is very mild. A sweetness from the cane sugar is detected and then there is just a nice blending of flavors. The Teriyaki is quite mild just like the jerky. This is a really unique jerky and would be perfect for anyone looking for a healthy snack who does not like the stronger flavors of some of the jerky on the market. Fatman’s Red Chile Beef Jerky Review

Fatmans Red Chile Beef Jerky

Today I am reviewing Fatman’s Red Chile Beef Jerky. Fatman’s Beef Jerky is owned and operated by Rick Robey out of Roswell, New Mexico (that’s right “aliens”). Rick was in the
cattle business and meat packing business in Eastern New Mexico for over 25 years. He is now using that experience to bring his flavorful jerky to us. All Fatman’s jerky is made with 100% American beef and made in a USDA inspected facility.

This is a 2 oz, resealable package so you will be able to reseal the bag to retain freshness if you don’t eat all of the jerky at the first sitting.

From the bag the ingredients include Beef, Water, Soy Sauce, Red Chile Puree, Lemon Juice, Garlic Salt, Vinegar, Black Pepper, Crushed Red Pepper, Salt, Salt Cure.

When you open this jerky you immediately notice it is very thin sliced and and is topped with organic crushed red peppers from the Pecos Valley. The red chile adds a nice full-chile flavor — not heat. The heat level for this beef jerky is 1 out of 5.

Jeff’s Famous Beef Jerky Sweet & Smokin’ BBQ Review

Jeff's Sweet BBQ Beef Jerky

Today I am reviewing Jeff’s Famous Beef Jerky Sweet & Smokin’ BBQ flavor. This is the newest beef jerky flavor from Jeff Famous Beef Jerky.

If you’ve not read any of our previous reviews of Jeff’s Famous Jerky, the company is out of Big Bear, California. Founded and is managed by 20 year food service veteran Jeff Richards who began experimenting with jerky recipes in the early seventies. What started out as a jerky making hobby for friends and family turned in to a real business.

Jeff’s Famous Beef Jerky makes a variety of flavors all of which are available at Armadillo Pepper: Cajun, Jalapeno Carne Asada, Black Pepper & Sea Salt, Cranberry Jalapeno, Orange A Peel, Sweet Teriyaki and Real Bacon Jerky.

Jeff's Famous Sweet BBQ Beef Jerky

Sweet & Smokin’ BBQ comes in a 3 oz, resealable package. Ingredients include beef, soy sauce, Worchestershire sauce, brown sugar, chili sauce, natural smoke flavoring, sea salt, spice, pepper, vinegar. There is 1g fat and 6g protein in each serving.

As you can see in the picture the jerky almost looks like cuts of steak with a medium thickness. The jerky is moist to the touch and very easy to tear. You immediately get the aroma similar to a BBQ sauce when you open the package.

On the first taste you immediately get a sweetness from the brown sugar and then the beef. The Worchestershire sauce plays a secondary role. This is a great tasting jerky and is recommended for someone who is looking for jerky with a Kansas City BBQ sweet type of flavor. It is definitely a big contrast to a black pepper jerky.

For all of the details on this new beef jerky, please see our Jeff’s Famous Beef Jerky Sweet & Smokin’ BBQ Video Review.

In summary, this is another easy to chew, full of flavor beef jerky from Jeff’s Famous Beef Jerky.

Mountain America Alligator Jerky Review

alligator jerky

Today I am reviewing Mountain America Alligator Jerky. This wild game jerky is 100% real Alligator – no fillers. Interest in wild game jerky has been growing the last few years due to its low fat and high protein. Alligator is also low in saturated fat and high in monounsaturated fat.Chuck Watson, owner of Mountain America Jerky, has been selling gourmet
jerky since 1997. Their jerky is created using a
handmade process: from slicing, to marinade, to the smoker and
packaging. Chuck makes his jerky in Colorado in a USDA/FDA inspected
facility.

Mountain America’s Alligator jerky is a mild Cajun recipe. From the label, the ingredients are Alligator meat, brown sugar, soy powder, water, salt, spices.. No fillers or MSG.

Alligator Jerky

Upon opening the bag, you will immediately notice that it is a thicker cut than most types of jerky. The texture is somewhat soft and a bit “wet”. With the first bite you taste the meat of the alligator and unlike much of the jerky on the market, there is very little salt flavor. As you continue to eat the Alligator jerky the mild Cajun seasoning becomes more noticeable, but not overpowering. All wild game jerky from Mountain America is made in small batches so you know that you are always getting fresh jerky. This alligator jerky is more tender than most alligator that you will find in a restaurant.
