Today we are reviewing Krave Garlic Chili Pepper Beef Jerky. Krave Jerky is owned by Jonathan Sebastiani (part of a 4th generation wine family) out of Sonoma, CA.
Krave is one of the hottest jerky companies in the market right now. Over the last year their beef jerky has been featured in the NY Times as well as on Good Morning America.
The package includes 3.25 oz of jerky. Before drying this jerky, Krave soaks the chuck cut from California beef in a garlic and chili marinade. About half way through the
jerky dehydration process they add real chili flakes.
From the label, the ingredients include Beef, Sugar, Soy Sauce, Corn Syrup, Chili Sauce, Chili Pepper, Spices, Potato Starch, Chili Powder and Salt.
This might be the most tender jerky that we have ever tried. For those who don’t like spicy, don’t let the chili ingredients dissuade you. This jerky is not hot, but it does have a very nice chili flavor. In our video review we look at texture, flavor, heat level and chewability.
None of the flavors are overwhelming in this jerky. There is nice, delicate balance of garlic, light salt, soy sauce and chile spices. If you love the flavor of chile in your mouth then Krave Garlic Chili Pepper Beef Jerky is one you will definitely want to try.
