Today we are reviewing Fatman’s Habanero Beef Jerky. Fatman’s is owned and operated by Rick Robey out of Roswell, New Mexico (that’s right where all of the interesting aliens live). Rick was in the cattle business and meat packing business in Eastern New Mexico for over 25 years. He is now using that experience to bring his flavorful jerky to us. All Fatman’s jerky is made with 100% American beef and made in a USDA inspected facility.
From the label you will immediately notice 21 grams of protein and only 1.5g fat Fatman’s Habanero Beef Jerky. Certainly a good choice for the health conscious.
When opening the package, you will immediately notice this is a very thin sliced jerky; almost like it was shaved from the beef. On first taste you will get a nice beef flavor followed by the soy sauce and then spice from the habanero. You definitely taste the heat in this spicy beef jerky. It’s made with habanero peppers and that kick is noticeable with a 3 out of 5 for heat.
